Throughout his long tenure at the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (WI-DOC), Brad Hompe has gained an amazing amount of experience, given that he has done pretty much every job there is to do in a prison environment. With experience, people gain knowledge, which is one reason Brad is now considered an expert on almost every aspect of prison operations. In fact, he gained much of this experience even before he became a warden. In part, this is because he worked his way up the ranks, stopping at every rung on the ladder on the voyage. He began working at WI-DOC as a corrections officer, but he also spent time as a sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, unit manager and deputy warden, all before he began supervising all those jobs as warden.

In fact, Brad Hompe is currently a Corrections Complaint Examiner and Investigator for WI-DOC, primarily due to his extensive and impressive jail and prison operations, which is quite unusual. Throughout the corrections industry, in Wisconsin and elsewhere, Brad Hompe has been considered a top-notch expert in prison operations for quite a long time.
